Spanish/Italian tapas and BBQ
The Basque country in northern Spain has a tradition of BBQ meat and this is where Ember Yard draws most of its inspiration from. Mixed with dishes from around Spain and Italy; it's not very a British restaurant, but a very London one. Start with a platter of cheeses and ham, perhaps some olives, move onto a couple of tapas, perhaps Smoked Bream Carpaccio or Quince Glazed Ibérico Pork Ribs, follow up with Gloucester Old Spot Pork Belly cooked over Applewood and Oak charcoal, and wash it all down with a Spanish red or perhaps a cocktail.
The best dishes are those that have been cooked on the grill. This doesn't just mean grilled meat, but also great vegetable dishes, give them a go as well. And start with some cured ham off the bone.
