Yat Lok Restaurant

Michelin-starred roast goose

AuthenticFoodieGood ValueLocalMeaty

Roast meat is a classic Cantonese dish and you can’t come to Hong Kong with trying it. A good roast goose should have crispy skin with a layer of melt-in-your-mouth fat underneath, and juicy, tender, and slightly gamey meat. The most famous roast goose restaurant in Hong Kong is Yung Kee, but it’s well known amongst locals that it’s past its prime and they only take out-of-towners to eat there. Yat Lok is just around the corner and serves the best roast goose in Hong Kong with a Michelin star to show for it. The surroundings are basic, the service is the get in and get out kind, but the roast goose is worth it.
