Best Alternative to Noma
Noma alumni Christian Puglisi and Kim Rossen opened Relæ five years ago with a firm focus on seasonal, sustainable and organic produce. Which is very much the driving force behind modern Nordic cuisine. The intention was to be the fine dining restaurant that doesn't do fine dining. Deliberately rocking the boat. They have softened a little over those five years, where once they only served natural wines, they now serve wines they like. The food is still organic with an emphasis on vegetables and will happily cater to vegetarians, but there enough meat going on to keep carnivores happy. The restaurant is light and airy and filled with music. Lou Reed featured once when we were there, which kind of sums up Relæ, it's the Lou Reed of Copenhagen's Michelin starred restaurants, taking a walk on the wild side.
The menu is a multi-course set menu, either 5 or 7 courses of modern organic Nordic cuisine.
