Lutter & Wegner

Best Traditional German

€ € €GermanTraditionalUp Market

Lutter & Wegner is the ultimate in German charming restaurants. It's comfortable. The service is perfect. The food is exactly as it should be and the classics haven't changed in years. There are two dining rooms, the more formal Restaurant and the rustic Weinhandlung (wine shop). Both have waistcoated waiters shuffling between tables full of locals dining on perfect Weiner Schnitzel. In summer come for a long lunch at one of the outdoor tables beside Gendarmenmarkt Square. If you're lucky enough to be in Berlin during the Christmas markets, then get a table at their cosy pop-up in the Gendarmenmarkt. At all times Lutter & Wegner is ideal for a loooooong meal in Berlin.

Go for the German classics like schnitzel or roast pork knuckle
