Modern seasonal restaurant in beautiful setting
De Kas is a pioneer of seasonally inspired menus in Amsterdam. The restaurant itself is half inside a modern greenhouse located in leafy Frankendael Park. They serve a daily set menu that changes depending on what their network of farmers and suppliers have available. Some of which comes from the green house located beside the restaurant and they have a farm of their own 20 minutes north of Amsterdam. It's relaxed, well designed dining, in a very attractive setting with equally attractive plates of food. A visit to Amsterdam should also include a visit to De Kas, but do book ahead.
It's a very seasonal modern European menu with a strong vegetable component. We think chef Bas might be a vegetarian in disguise.
