Best Cafes in Amsterdam

Amsterdam has a growing number of boutique coffee roasters serving very good espressos and flat whites. Some of these cafes will have full breakfast and lunch menus, but most will just have a small selection of pastries. If you have a sweet tooth, look for appeltart (apple pie), stroopwaffel (very thin waffle filled with a type of caramel) and poffertjes (cross between and pancake and profiterole) These are all super tasty and widely available.
